Benazir Assassination, I got screwed !

30

December

Thursday the 27th, The morning starts off with me waking up at 7:20.. having water on my face, got my clothes on, taking the breakfast, had the shoes laces tied on and switch on the ignition of the car.. ! The car didnt start after 5 attempts and got the battery down. Got 2 chokidars of my street to push it up and there you go.. Not a good beginning to university at all.. ! Anyways the classes went off at around 1:40 and i left uni with Shahab to drop him at Saddar and came after Fawad the awesome car mechanic to tune up the car. He got already 15 customers in the queue so i called Ammar if he know any other guy who can do this for me. To be short, Ammar and me went to Fakirabad after the mechanic and came back at around 5:50-6:00 pm. Ammar’s ammi hospitality made me sit there for tea and some awesome eatable. Just as i eat the last bite of kabab, an sms from a uni friend struck me.. “Benazir died” and i was like 8-O . i made ammar quickly ran to turn on the tv which he couldnt (the complete pro islamic mahol at his home made them throw stupid tv outa their home) i guess it was ammar’s mom who switched on a radio which confirmed the report..

Panic started right away! Abboo called in me to ask where i was.. he asked me to come straight to home as protesters were supposed to come out to the streets. i understood what he meant.. so quickly sat on the driving seat and drove fast. I knew my car wont run till hayatabad (the tuning caused all the fuel to vanish in the air) anyways stopped by the fuel station when i realized i dont got more than 50/- in my pocket..  :-x and there isnt any bank ATM nearby as well. The next thing was i drove to Ammar once again to borrow some cash.. came back to the same station, filled the bullshit tank and drove at 110 km/h at the main gulbahar road.. lol. Just were about to turn at the main Gulbahar chowk near Police station when 40, 50 men came out from the election office of Syed Zahir Ali Shah, candidate for provincial assembly, and start throwing countless stones on the cars and buses. I really dont know how i avoided that but all i know, that i turned the car on the right without seeing if anybody was trying to overtake me or not, and drove as fast as i could in the opposite direction on a oneway road. There were sounds of wind screens shattering as i narrowly missed a bus coming straight into me..

I went to Rasheed Town in Gulbahar to stay at Pupho’s home. I was planing to leave for my home late at night but she refused to let me go. My chacha (who belongs to PPP) asked the local SHO to go with me in the morning. I slept at around 2:45 with all the headache. 4:45 i woke up and couldnt resist going to my home, to my room, to my own bed.. Just took the my car from the porch, prayed Allah to keep me and my car safe and planed that if anybody come in my way, i am gonna crush him under my wheels.. Making this long post short, i broked my own 130KM/h on mehran and reached with in 15 minutes to  home  where  ammi couldnt sleep whole night just because i was not at home..

I will post a tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.. One could disagree with her few pro american policies but certainly she was a politician, in fact, a great politician just like her father and an awesome leader. May her soul rest in peace ! Ameen

The PSP & The PSP Girl ;)

25

December

Sometimes i do get crazy.. day before yesterday.. i was busy debating with Faisal on Tom Cruise personality while scraping at Orkut. I was just browsing around videos at youtube as well and came around PSP un boxing video.. bas ! i got mad to get this shit.. the next day i-e yesterday when i woke up at 1:45pm.. the first thing i did was sms Faisal to come with me to go to Hayatabad market to ask the prices only.

I had 10,000 with myself with no intension of buying one.. but when we reached SS Plaza to Naveed (a friend of Faisal deals in Xbox 360, PS2, PSP’s, Nintendo Wii etc) and he showed us a PSP, i couldnt resist buying it. To be short, i came home with a Black PSP box, a UMD of Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter, a 2GB memory card and a USB cable which got power cable built into it. All this cost me PKR 13200 to be precise or around $220. Thats hell of a amount for a person who hasnt been into console gaming for years. By the time i speak, i already finished the UMD game title 80%.. lol.

One thing thats worth mentioning is the PSP Girl.. Actually, when we drive into SS Plaza, Faisal (the most flirt guy you would ever see) pointed out a fit girl shopping with her mom (most probably.. :-D ) She was kinda.. ahem ahem.. cute. Faisal forgot that we were here to buy a PSP instead of watching her like 8-O He simply left me in Naveed’s store and went after her but came back quickly as i was pulling him up hard.. Anyways Faisal failed to get a new friend just coz of my PSP.. :-)

Eid-ul-Azha

23

December

Am already late in posting the whole story of Eid-ul-Azha (bari eid).. It was one of the few rare days when provincial government of NWFP and the main government were celebrating eid at the same time, other wise Masjid Qasim Ali Khan announces eid and people of NWFP finish celebrating the eid, before Molana Muneeb-ur-Rehman even presses his eid clothes. anyways, the day before eid day, i-e thursday 20th Dec baba and i went to buy two dumba/bakra.. it took us 5 hours flat to finish this hectic task.

On eid day i woke up at around 7am to take shower in full time sardi. I wore grey shalwar kameez and a black coat before we went to Alzarhooni Masid (the biggest you’ll find in Hayatabad, Peshawar). The prayer started at 8:35 am exact and when we reached home it was 9:20. To find a good slaughterer on eid day specially in hayatabad is the same as to find a needle on a sea shore.. I called in Taimoor, Afan, Faisal and Umair if they came around with any good one. The reply was simple.. NO !  To be short, the slaughtering started at 2:30 after i came from Friday prayers and we were finish including all the safai etc at around 5:15 pm, pretty long isnt it? thanks to the doctor slaughterer, who was CT scanning each and every tissue of our sheep.

Bari eid is always very tiering for a guy like me who dont got any real brother to help him out.. being the only one, i have to take responsibilities like these. Bari eid, infact bari eid aur choti eid.. dono bachion k liye hi hoti hain.. guys are fucked up everywhere.. lol. May Allah bless us all including the 55 martyrs of Charsadda bomb blast who died just because they were praying with a mother fucker called as Sherpao..

Eid days are going fine for me.. hope they would stay that way for everyone else too..

Farewell To DCSE Batch 5

20

December

18th December 2007 is the day we said goodbye to our seniors.. The farewell party was so so.. i dont know but i was expecting a little more fun. Thats may because i arrived a little late.. (Thanks to traffic in Peshawar). Azam did the comparing with Ijaz. There were several skits arranged both by our batch as well as the juniors i-e the batch 7. Teachers and girls were there but audience was rather less and a little low on discipline too. Anyways all did go well in terms of enjoyment. We played the videos, shot in girls common room. The parody of Sir Ihsan by Rasheed was quite awesome. Shahab and Nazeef played a song unplugged in the end and the winners of the ‘Muqabla-e-Husan’ (Beauty Contest) were announced. Ali Zia (see him here) and Rumaisa Yawar, both from my class won it pretty easy. To be very honest ‘Khana’ (dinner) wasnt mazay ka.. its not that the menu wasnt good, its just because it wasnt cooked up to standards. Thanks to all the guys including my batch mates as well as the juniors who arranged all this just to give us a couple hours of happiness. I wont forget to mention the names of Azam and Abeer. They even missed their classes and did all the khuari. May Allah bless em both. We didnt had the cam with ourselves to take snap shots. However ill upload the pics and vids of this memorable occasion (possibly from some senior fellow) as soon as i get them.
